He talks about how he perceives his work at our company, how he has integrated among other colleagues and what he does with his free time.
How long have you been with the company and what exactly do you do?
I've been with the company for a little over six months. They call me an assembler, but besides assembling complex assemblies, I'm also sometimes a plumber and a locksmith. I also work on a lathe, milling machine or CNC horizon machine when needed. Every day is different, and that's what I enjoy most about it.
Was there anything you were worried about when you started?
As with any new job, I was worried about the change in working environment, whether my new colleagues would accept me, whether we would fit in, whether we would get along and also whether I would be able to learn everything. In the end, all I had to do was bite my tongue and look under my colleagues' hands. You mustn't be afraid to ask, even if you think you'll look like a fool.
What surprised you the most when you joined us?
The quietness of the job and the lack of harassment. Yeah, there's always pressure for quality, but there's no one to throw sticks. The atmosphere in the company is really nice.
There's often a good mood on the assembly floor, what is it?
The fact that my main colleague and I have a good working and human relationship. Even though at first we might have seemed like two roosters on the same sand. But once we were on the same page, everything clicked and we are great partners who have a lot of laughs at work and with other colleagues.
Is there anything that distinguishes GENICZECH-M from other companies?
A bunch of company events. Just in the autumn we had a company-wide teambuilding in Buchlov, a month later we had go-karting, then Christmas wreath tying and we ended the year with Christmas bowling.
Why did you join GENICZECH-M?
I only needed a job for the morning shift and despite my many years of experience as a CNC operator, I was given a career change to assembler here, for which I am very grateful. In addition, the company is located in a great location in Zlín, so it's a short walk to my home and everything I need is at my fingertips.
If a friend of yours applied to join us, how would you describe our company to them?
As a company with a good working atmosphere. A company that tries to give employees a lot of experiences where we can get to know each other better and form a great collaborative team.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Right now, I'm mainly taking care of our house that we are renovating. Otherwise, I love endurance sports - especially triathlon, ultra running, mountain biking. In addition, I like to participate in various social events such as balls or neighborhood parties.
